Queerly Beloved, a chapbook
$16.50
This collection was created as an ode to growing up in the midst of the Bible Belt of Oklahoma and the struggles therein years before, during, and after Don’t Ask Don’t Tell and the Marriage Equality Act as part of a Research and Creative Scholarly Activities Grant project at the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond. It features related photography in the area. The poems selected detail my experiences as a Queer woman attempting to love despite harrowing surroundings and seek to provoke discussions regarding the detrimental affects an overwhelming presence of religion has on LGBTQ+ individuals striving for identity, safety, and family.
